HIV & STI Prevention Consulting, Training, and Technical Assistance
I help clinics and community organizations plan and improve HIV and STI prevention programs. I work with teams to create practical workflows, support the integration of community health workers (CHWs) into clinical care, and train CHWs and other support staff to strengthen services like PrEP promotion and navigation, doxyPEP, and STI prevention.
My work is grounded in a syndemic approach, meaning HIV, STIs, hepatitis C, and social challenges are addressed together, not as separate issues. I use a human-centered approach, cultural competency, and trauma-informed practices to help teams deliver care that is respectful, coordinated, and easier for people to access and use. I also draw on principles from implementation science to make sure prevention strategies are realistic, sustainable, and work in everyday clinical and community settings.
Services include:
- Consulting (program planning and workflow support)
- Training (plain language, trauma-informed care, stigma reduction)
- Technical assistance (SOPs, toolkits, implementation support)
- Speaker (talks and events on HIV/STI prevention and patient trust)
Areas of focus:
PrEP, PEP, doxyPEP, STI screening, Hepatitis C testing, and patient navigation, health access for immigrants.
